If you're sourcing vintage clothing for your wardrobe, for theatrical use, or for resale, knowing how to identify what was made when is imperative to the accurate impression of your characters AND paying (or asking) appropriate prices. Wink O'Connell, owner of Tiddleywink Vintage, will bring examples spanning most decades of the 20th century, and discuss "secret" clues to look for whether you're scouring racks at the thrift store, digging through dark closets at an estate sale, or buying online from an unknown vendor.

Bio
With closets stuffed-to-brimming from more than 25 years of collecting vintage clothing, "Wink" has become a devoted wardrobe connoisseur whose collection is a unique time-capsule of the past. Vintage knowledge is not her only forte, as Wink has spent more than 20 years as a professional graphic designer, earning her BFA degree in 1995. Her range of experience includes working with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and ad agencies. In her “spare time” you are likely to find her watching a 1940s classic film or searching for her next vintage find. To maintain a perfectly cluttered home, Wink keeps up with accumulating vintage cookbooks, Bakelite jewelry, and cat hair.
