Bring on summer with this sassy crop top with optional waist tie. This is the perfect first garment sewing project where you will learn how to finish all the edges so they are enclosed using the burrito technique. Student should have experience using a sewing machine (made a simple project like a pillow) or have taken Sewing 101.

Student Supply List: "1 1/2 yards of light to medium weight fabric such as cotton poplin, linen, linen and cotton blends, rayon or chambray

The student may, however, be required to have a basic skill or have taken a certification class. For example, for a flat-pattern drafting class one need not know anything about flat-pattern drafting but should have a basic understanding of the sewing machine. Any prerequisites will be listed in the class description.
