This class covers lace knitting basics using only knit stitches, no purls and no nupps. We will cover different kinds of cast ons, and bind offs, chart reading, increasing and decreasing, fiber, color and needle selection.

Student supply list: 600 yards of lace weight yarn in a light not busy color, US size 3 or 4 needle, 24" circular
Number of hours for class: 2 hours, 2 times, 3 weeks apart
Class Level: Fascination – These classes will introduce you to a new skill, concept or technique and are open to all levels. The student may, however, be required to have a basic skill or have taken a certification class. For example, for a flat-pattern drafting class one need not know anything about flat-pattern drafting but should have a basic understanding of the sewing machine. Any prerequisites will be listed in the class description.

Instructor Bio: Sara has been dappling in fiber art since childhood. She got serious at age 19 when she decided to conquer crochet. It snowballed from there; she has since learned to knit, dye, spin, weave, does design work and repairs, and loves to teach these skills to others.
