In this class you will learn how to do the traditional methods of working an Estonian lace scarf, complete with nupps. We will cover everything from traditional cast, to blocking using a blocking frame. We will spend time covering the nupp stitch and how to work with charts. Knowing how to easily execute the knit and purl stitch are very helpful. Come ready to learn.

Student supply list: 600 yards of lace weight yarn in a light color and US size 3 or 4 needles, 24" circular
Number of hours for class: 4 week class, 3 hrs per week
Class Level: Fascination – These classes will introduce you to a new skill, concept or technique and are open to all levels. The student may, however, be required to have a basic skill or have taken a certification class. For example, for a flat-pattern drafting class one need not know anything about flat-pattern drafting but should have a basic understanding of the sewing machine. Any prerequisites will be listed in the class description.

Instructor Bio: Sara has been dappling in fiber art since childhood. She got serious at age 19 when she decided to conquer crochet. It snowballed from there; she has since learned to knit, dye, spin, weave, does design work and repairs, and loves to teach these skills to others.
